International conference "Development cooperation - quo vadis?"

On Friday, March 26 2010, international conference "Development cooperation - quo vadis?" was held in the Center for excellence in finance, organised by Sloga and Ekvilib Institute.

The conference, which brought together over 40 representatives of NGOs, ministries and interested individuals, hosted lecturers Alenka Suhadolnik (Head of department for international development cooperation and humanitarian assistance at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Maja Bučar (Faculty of Social Sciences, Ljubljana), Javier Pereira (independent consultant and author of AidWatch report); contributions from the field of development cooperation were presented by Boštjan Jerman (UN Association of Slovenia), Urška Zrinski (Center for Excellence in finance), Eva Pliberšek (Sloga), Robin Dewa (GCAP Slovenia) Franz Berger (Concord) and Jana Lampe (Slovenian Caritas). The conference was moderated by Aleš Kranjc Kušlan (Ekvilib Institute).

A part of the conference was also a workshop on human rights based approach to development, conducted by Anita Ramšak (Ekvilib Institute).
