Intensive training on theatre techniques: Theatre of the Oppressed with a global dimention
Between October and November we will organise, in the framework of the project GLOBAL STATE OF ART: Theatre for development education, a 17-day intensive international training on theatre techniques, with an emphasis on Theatre of the Oppressed. It represents a form of popular, community based education, which uses theatre as a tool for social change on an individual, local and global level. The techniques are used in over 100 countries for social and political activism, conflict resolution, community building, therapy, rehabilitation, advocacy and infliencing goverment legislation. The training will consist of 12-day theatre workshops and 5-day substantive seminars.
Dates of trainings: 22.-24.10.2010; 28.-31.10.2010; 4.-7.11.2010; 11.-14.11.2010; 25-28.11.2010; 13-14.01.2011.
