Internal consultation within the Slovenian Development Days: Exchange of experiences and good practices in the field of international development cooperation
Ekvilib Institute participated in internal consultation "Exchange of experiences and good practices in the field of international development cooperation", held under the Slovenian Development Days on17th October 2009 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Participants in the consultation spoke about experiences and problems in the field of development cooperation and debated on the challenges in the future. The debate has helped to develop ideas for improvement of Slovenian development cooperation.

International conference "United in global development - strengthening civil dialogue on development cooperation"
Between 26 and 27 March 2009 UNICEF Slovenia organised an international conference on development cooperation entitled "United for Global Development - strengthening civil dialogue on development cooperation", which was also attended by representatives of Ekvilib Institute, and its director Aleš Kranjc Kušlan appeared as a speaker.
The conference raised many issues, including: the role of civil society in policymaking on development cooperation on a global, regional and local level; the need for a multilateral approach to preparation and implementation of development cooperation policies; and the role of national non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in implementation of development cooperation.
