Ekvilib Institute has developed and is conducting workshops for high schools entitled "A VIEW OUTSIDE OF EUROPE: Human rights and development cooperation."
The purpose of the workshops is to introduce the basic concepts of human rights and development cooperation and to stress the equality and dignity of all people, regardless of the country or continent they come from. The purpose of the workshops is also to encourage critical reflection on the inequalities between different continents and to promote awareness of our interconnection. It is crucial to inspire young individuals to engage in finding solutions to global challenges which we all face. Workshops are based on interactive methods (using games, visual materials, etc.) which allow active participation of students. These methods are also intertwined with practical examples that bring certain topics closer to the students. During the workshops a lot of space is given to highlight and express the views of students.
